Fall 2005 Registration Information

All students on and off campus, must schedule using RACER-TOUCH during regular business hours. Before scheduling you must consult with your advisor about your class selections.    IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AWARE OF AND COMPLY WITH ALL UNIVERSITY, COLLEGE, DEPARTMENT AND PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND REGULATIONS. Students who are admitted to Murray State Community College or those participating in athletics and/or the honors program, also must have the approval of the advisors for those programs.

All financial obligations to the university must be cleared before a student will be permitted to schedule. The Office of the Bursar accepts credit card payments through RACER-TOUCH (270) 762-3500, or obligations may be paid by mail, or at the Cashier’s Office on the second floor of Sparks Hall 5:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. CST/CDT, Monday - Friday, unless otherwise indicated.

Racer.Pay is a new service, which enables you to receive your MSU Billing Statements over the web, and to submit payments online, using an electronic interface with your bank. There is no additional cost associated with utilizing the Racer.Pay service to pay your student bill.

Once registered for the service, you are notified by e-mail each time a new statement becomes available, and can directly link into Racer.Pay to view your billing information and submit payments. The statement you see on the Racer.Pay system will be in the exact same format as the paper statement you would have received by mail. This system is totally paperless and provides you with the convenience of web-based electronic payments. Your statements are kept online for 6 months for reference, as well as your Racer.Pay payment information.   Click here for more information about Racer.Pay and to access the Racer.Pay system.

Any questions concerning payments should be directed to bursar.office@murraystate.edu or to the Office of the Bursar, (270) 762-4227.

Frequently Asked Questions About Registration

        Advance Scheduling

Advance scheduling will take place by RACER-TOUCH only. You should complete a Working Schedule with your advisor before calling RACER-TOUCH. Priority for advance scheduling is based on a student’s classification as determined by the number of semester hours earned that are currently on file in  Admissions Services and Registrar’s Office. Courses in progress do not count. Students may schedule at their assigned times or any time thereafter. Students officially classified as graduate or irregular (post-baccalaureate) may advance schedule at any time.  Click here for the Advance Scheduling Timetable to see when you should schedule.

Late Registration

All late scheduling will be done by RACER-TOUCH 5:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. CST/CDT, Monday - Friday, unless otherwise indicated. For further information contact  Kristi Jackson. When late registration begins for the spring or fall term, a $25 late registration fee will be assessed for everyone scheduling for the first time or rescheduling after their original schedules have been removed from the system.
