If you've completed two or more years of college credits and are looking to finish a bachelor's degree, this is opportunity knocking.  Murray State's BIS program grants students an alternative baccalaureate degree, the Bachelor of Integrated Studies* (BIS).

The degree is designed for adults with previous college credit and/or significant life experience. Adults find the BIS program appealing because of its flexible degree requirements and alternative methods of earning additional credits. Correspondence courses, KET telecourses, and online courses can all apply to the fulfillment of degree requirements. For added convenience, traditional courses are offered both on-campus and at extended campus sites.

Experiential learning credit is also a valued component of the program. A unique and attractive feature of the program allows students earning the BIS degree to create their own field of study emphasis.  The BIS degree program works well for students in established careers who do not need a specific academic credential for a new career. Throughout the program, careful planning and advising insure that students with the BIS degree are fully qualified to enter graduate programs.

*Formerly the Bachelor of Independent Studies program. Beginning December 2007, students who graduate from the BIS program will earn a Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree.
