More About Online Courses Murray State full-time and part-time students may enroll by accessing RACER-TOUCH, Murray State’s Registration and Information System by calling (270) 809-3500. Students must be admitted to the University prior to enrolling. See Murray State Admissions and Registrar's Office for application. What does it cost? Tuition information can be found at the Bursar's web site and depends on your classification status, part-time vs. full-time, and residency. For more information about costs, visit their web site. At a minimum, you must have a computer with Internet access, a current/active email address, a current browser, and word processing software, Microsoft Word. Some courses may have specific technical requirements. Please contact the instructor before class if you have questions about this. All texts and instructional materials are furnished by the student. Most texts may be purchased directly from the publishing companies or the Murray State University Bookstore. Used books are sometimes available at the MSU Bookstore. You are encouraged to call them at (270) 809-4388 or (800) 749-8580, or go to their web site. Phone and online orders may be paid for with a credit card and books will be shipped directly to you. You need to go to the "Already Enrolled?" section that can be found on the main Online Course Information page. Choose the particular course you are enrolled in to obtain the course web site address and/or the instructor's email address, as well as any special instructions for the course. The course will follow strict standards for instruction and grading applied in the classroom. Students should follow the schedule as listed in the course syllabus in completing assignments, and assignments are sent as e-mail attachments to your instructor. If your course requires that a final examination be taken under supervision, you will need to make arrangements at an approved testing site. This may be at local community college, public school, or other college or university. The Center for Continuing Education will send your exam directly to the person who agrees to be your exam supervisor. Some institutions charge a small fee for exam supervision. If you live in or near Murray, you can arrange to take your exams on campus in the Center for Continuing Education and Academic Outreach. Instructions for arranging exams will be provided in your online course. As a student completes a course, his/her record will be sent to Murray State's Admissions and Registrar's Office. A notice of completion of the course with the final grade will be mailed to the student. If a student wants credit transferred, he/she must send a written request along with $3.00 per transcript requested to the Admissions and Registrar's Office, Murray State University, 303 Sparks Hall, Murray, KY 42071-3312. Upon receipt of written request and payment from the student, the registrar will send a transcript to the designated location.
