The Business Administration program is administered
by the D epartment
of Management, Marketing and Business Administration within the College
of Business and Public Affairs at Murray State University. The first
two years of study consist mainly of a basic framework of courses, such
as English, Mathematics, and some introductory business classes
(Economics and Accounting), while the following two years mainly consist
of specialized courses in the various fields of business, including
finance, management, marketing, statistics, computers, business ethics
and law. The Business Administration Area in the Bachelor of Science in
Business degree program prepares students for a variety of career
opportunities with a broad and overall understanding of the functional
disciplines of business. This prepares graduates to be successful in
middle- and upper-level management positions in small, medium, and large
business organizations.
Murray State
University offers this program online in cooperation with KCTCS and
KYVU.
Students who
complete their Associate of Arts in Business through KCTCS can transfer
these credits directly to the MSU Bachelor of Science in Business
degree. Typically, students take transition courses on-line in addition
to their Associate of Arts through KCTCS either before or while taking
Murray State on-line business courses. These transition courses are
necessary to meet the 128 hour Bachelors degree requirements at Murray
State. For more information about this program,
